TELEPHONE- 2019
12" x 16"
Colored pencil, acrylic paint on toned paper
People on social media constantly spread rumors and misleading, false and usually biased information. Once we absorb this information, some tend to say and spread it to the people around them. The garbage coming out of the mouth represents how some of this circling information is"trash", or nonsense.

WISDOM LIVES FOREVER - 2019
15" x 10"
Colored pencil on toned paper
When someone passes away, their wisdom, experiences, and influence on others don't pass with them. When a baby is born, their hands are smooth and flawless, with no wrinkles or veins showing. As that person grows older and eventually reaches their elder years, their hands are covered in wrinkles. I made the connection that each wrinkle and "imperfection" represents an experience that they've been through. By the time they pass away, those experiences and the things that they've learned aren't erased. They stay with the loved ones of the one who has passed.

PARANOIA- 2020
12" x 16"
Charcoal on toned paper
A lot of us have a sense of anxiety and paranoia when it comes to posting online and reaching the social media standards. The creepy, unsettling faces in the background are emojis, representing the people and the "audience" that we feel like we have to impress. The hands symbolize our mental demons and paranoia.

ALL EYES ON YOU- 2021
18" x 15"
Colored pencil, acrylic paint on illustration board
This piece represents the struggles that women face when it comes to male validation on social media. The masculine hand holding (controlling) the woman portrays this idea. Her position shows how weak and vulnerable she feels, with those eyes on the fingers watching her every move. Many women struggle with this fear of not looking their best, or not fitting the social media expectations when it comes to their appearance.
